Our back yard project started out with me (Pam) asking for a
small deck and sun-break over a grassy area just out from our covered back
porch area. The project has turned into a beautiful large sun-break
that expands 14’ X 24” that I affectionately call “the Parthenon”.
We (Jackie and I) wanted to expand the porch area into a more usable family area.
The porch is narrow and just hasn’t been used in the seven years we have
lived in the house.
This spring has been so nice that we started out
sitting outside and we decided we wanted to do more of it. It really
took hold when aliens landed and took over my husband. My husband
used to talk bytes, modem speeds, web pages, Internet mail and stuff like
that. Now he is talking squares, saw horses, levels, clamps, scroll
saws and sizes of wood. And you should hear him talk topsoil, bark
mulch, plants and grass heights! We are having a great time building
and planting together.
We have taken pictures to show family and friend what
we are up to. It’s hard to explain the project so here are the
pictures. (Besides no one is going to believe the change in my
husband. There had to be pictures! J)
