These are our
Genealogy Pages. Although our two lines are quite different, they
do tie together. Back in the 1700's, one of my Sandage's married
one of her Higginbotham's. The kids are not too crazy about their
parents being cousins <gr>.
Our family, on Jackie's side, traces it's roots back
through Sweden, Germany, Holland, England, Ireland, and Scotland. Primary
names include Bays, Burton, Connor, Erik(s)son, Groby/Grobe, Ford, Hall,
Hardin(g), Hicks/Hix, Martin, Rutherford, Sandage, and VanWinkle.
The family is primarily from the North and fought for the North during
the Civil War.
Pam's family, is primarily German, English and Irish and fought
for the South in the Civil War. Primary names include Best, Braden, Brod, Crain, Deavers, Higginbotham, Magnus, Ritter and Wood. Pam's
and Jackie's families came to Texas from two different routes, one from
the south and one from the north. Thankfully, politics are never
an issue.
